Ventura’s waterfront is the heart of its outdoor activity, offering everything from professional-grade waves to serene harbor strolls.

• Surfers' Point at Seaside Park: One of the most famous surf spots in California, known for its long, peeling right-hand point break.
• Ventura Harbor Village: A waterfront destination for dining, boutique shopping, and family-friendly events like the Parade of Lights in December.
• Ventura Pier: One of the longest and oldest wooden piers in the state. It’s a perfect spot for fishing, sunset walks, or grabbing a beer at MadeWest Brewing Co., which is located right on the pier.

Nature & Adventure

• Channel Islands National Park: Island Packers Cruises depart from the harbor to take visitors to these "Galapagos of North America" for world-class kayaking, hiking, and seasonal whale watching.
• Ventura Botanical Gardens: Located behind City Hall, these gardens offer spectacular panoramic views of the city and the Pacific Ocean along well-maintained hiking trails.
• Harmon Canyon Preserve: A newer 2,100-acre hillside nature preserve perfect for mountain biking and hiking through oak groves and wildflower meadows.

• Olivas Adobe Historical Park: A well-preserved Monterey-style adobe that hosts popular summer concert series like Music Under the Stars.
