Steve Henneberry’s journey from the heart of Wisconsin to the bright lights of Los Angeles is nothing short of remarkable. Raised with Midwestern grit, he harnessed his athletic prowess to dominate the bodybuilding scene, winning the prestigious Mr. America title in 1989. With that victory under his belt, he set his sights on Hollywood, quickly becoming a sought-after model and gracing the covers of Muscle & Fitness and Muscular Development.
But Steve’s real breakthrough came as “Tower” on the hit show American Gladiators. Tower’s towering (pun intended) presence on-screen made Steve a household name, catapulting him into international fame. He toured the globe, from the U.S. to Asia, as a beloved Gladiator, endorsed major brands, and even served as a fitness mentor to future generations. Steve also used his platform for good, becoming a spokesperson for the Make-A-Wish program and the California 5-a-Day initiative, teaching kids the importance of eating fruits and vegetables five times a day.
In 2002, Steve made a bold career pivot into real estate and title insurance, where his tenacity saw him work his way up to become the Divisional President at Stewart Title. Not content with just one venture, he also founded “Printing 24/7,” a successful design and print company creating marketing material for top businesses.
In 2018, Steve made another career leap, obtaining his real estate license and founding Big H Homes, a thriving venture that serves the needs of homeowners across Southern California. That same year, he returned to his bodybuilding roots, earning a triumphant 2nd place in the Mr. America Over-50 competition—proof that age is just a number.
With the recent Netflix sensation Muscles & Mayhem, chronicling the untold wild stories behind American Gladiators, Steve’s legendary status is once again front and center.
